Hotel Aurelio welcomes three new resident alpacas for the winter season 2015/16

Hotel Aurelio Aplacas
This winter, Aurelio, the ultra-exclusive mountain hideaway hotel in the village of Lech in Austria has three new residents.  Over the past few months Domingo, Maximo and Hiero – Aurelio’s alpacas – have been settling into their new home.  Now they are looking forward to meeting guests and joining hikes around the local area when the hotel re-opens for the season on 3rd December 2015.

Aurelio sits in an enchanting setting above the centre of Lech, in a ski-in, ski-out location.  Privately-owned, the 18-room hotel is formed of three traditional wooden buildings, which includes the Aurelio Clubhouse, a brilliant eight-bedroom chalet with its own spa, gym, cinema room and wonderfully expansive living areas.   Food at Aurelio is by Head Chef Christian Rescher and his protégée, Markus Niederwanger whose dishes focus on local, seasonal foods which are combined with international influences.

Part of the Arlberg ski region, Lech has a large, well-connected ski web and some wonderful mountain hikes which can be enjoyed with Domingo, Maximo and Hiero.  Guests will also love the heli-sking, snowboarder’s park, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and ice-skating, the exhilarating toboggan run from Oberlech and the horse drawn sleigh adventure to the nearby village of Part of the Arlberg ski region.

Rates at Aurelio start from €880 per room.  Based on two sharing a double room and including breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner.
