Doors set to open on new hotel inspired by the energy and glamour of the racesJockey’s silks, equestrian murals and luscious leathers are just some of the features guests can expect to discover when they check in to the new ibis Styles Haydock hotel, which has just opened in St Helens.
Paying tribute to its location, just a stone’s throw from The Haydock Park Racecourse, recently ranked among the finest racecourses in Britain, guests are invited to saddle up and experience all the buzz and glamour of the races. The hotel’s design takes inspiration from the glory days of sport and the rich equestrian heritage of this quaint Merseyside village.
Ibis Styles is the boutique budget brand from the ibis family. While ibis budget and ibis Hotel offer standardised features, fixtures and fittings, the ibis Styles brand offers guests all the fun and personality of a boutique property, with the quality assurances of a large and well-established brand. Each ibis Styles hotel boasts its own distinct design and character, great location and ‘all-inclusive’ offers.
Inge Van Ooteghem, SVP Operations Economy and Budget Hotels, comments: “Whether here for the horses or to explore the local area, we hope that our guests will be charmed by the hotel’s quirky design scheme, which elegantly captures the atmosphere and excitement of the races. Haydock has stamped its place firmly on the map through its much-revered annual racing events and we are delighted that the new ibis Styles will now have the opportunity to make its mark in the area too.”
“The arrival of ibis Styles Haydock follows our recent openings in UK destinations including Birmingham, Crewe and Glasgow, with more properties in the pipeline over the coming months. Ibis Styles is a growing economy brand which places style, character and comfort at the heart of the experience. With its eclectic design and great quality, we believe ibis Styles Haydock will be a safe bet for leisure and business travellers alike!”
Hotel design features include soft leather upholstery, horse murals, dramatic silhouettes and brightly coloured jockey silks. And with an equestrian themed play paddock to tire out little ones, trotting off to the land of nod will be no problem at all!
The Haydock Park Racecourse, which the hotel salutes, was built in 1898 and boasts one of the oldest organised races in the country, the Old Newton Cup, dating back to 1752 and still a popular fixture today. From the lavish garb and excitable crowds to the thrill of the punt, the hotel captures all the passion of the event.
