HOPE – A Feel-Good Evening with Citra Scholastika and Bastian Steel was an uplifting concert that had toes tapping to some very upbeat tunes. The proceeds from all ticket sales will be donated directly to UNICEF and channelled to a project that vaccinates and educates impoverished children across the Asia Pacific region. The concert was essentially a celebration for children from all walks of life. The Westin also bussed in a group of children from Dana Punia, an orphanage located in Singaraja, north of Bali. Other seats were allocated for sponsors and members of the local community turned out in force.

A moving UNICEF video presentation highlighting children in the developing world was shown as guests were being seated. Then a group of young students from the Farabi Music School Bali opened the concert with a joyful number to set the mood. The evening continued with Citra and Bastian performing individually and showcasing their respective talents. Citra was a picture of elegance in a formfitting version of a sarong and kebaya. Meanwhile, Bastian opted for a more casual look as he demonstrated some happening dance moves in a bright pink suit.

Both artists connected well with the audience on a personal level and had everyone singing along to a number of popular songs.
