New Port Wine Pairing Menu launches at Conrad Algarve

Conrad Algarve is launching a brand new Port wine menu on 25th October 2015. Showcasing a range of authentic flavours from the northern provinces of Portugal, the brand new menu will be available at Louro, the hotel’s central restaurant. Already established as a gourmet hotspot, housing GUSTO under the leadership of 3-Michelin Starred Chef Heinz Beck, Conrad Algarve proves once again why it is one of the Algarve’s most innovative and dynamic dining destinations.

Personally curated by Conrad Algarve’s Executive Sous Chef, José Botelho, the brand new Port wine menu was designed with the pairing of complimentary flavours in mind. Joining forces with the hotel’s resident pastry chef, Roberto Horta, and sommelier Antonio Lopes to create a dining menu to match.  

The team paired dishes formed from locally-farmed produce such as molluscs, figs, citrus, almonds and carob.  All infused with light French leanings, dishes from the menu include the decadent Black Pork Cheek Stew with Fresh Fig and creamy Goats Cheese with Endive Salad. Set to be entered into the ninth national ‘Gastronomy with Port Wine’ competition at the end of this month, the carefully paired menu is set to make a splash amongst the fine dining scene.
