A 20-strong team of staff from Campanile Hotels across the UK will travel to Northampton to take part in a 10 mile sponsored walk around Pitsford water reservoir on Thursday, September 24.
The event, which is being hosted by outdoor adventure company Kuta Outdoors, will raise money for three charities, Macmillan Cancer Support, Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Missing People.
All of the proceeds raised will be split equally between the three charities and representatives from each charity have also been invited to attend a presentation and dinner taking place at Campanile Hotel Northampton on Thursday, September 24 at 6.30pm.
Emmanuelle Le Roux, operations assistant at Louvre Hotels Group, said: “We are really looking forward to taking part in the sponsored charity walk in Northampton this year.
“It is the second time we have organised a Campanile UK charity event. Last year we trekked through the Yorkshire Dales and raised £4,000 so we are hoping to surpass that target this year.
“The event is being held as part of our deputy days which we host every quarter to help strengthen team work, enhance employee job satisfaction and broaden the understanding of corporate goals and objectives.
“We really wanted to raise money for three good causes and have nominated charities which are close to the hearts of those who work within our hotels.
“One of our staff members who works at Campanile Birmingham, Becky Collins, has a little boy who is treated regularly at Birmingham Children’s Hospital and countless staff have come into contact with Macmillian whether it is themselves who have received support or their friends and family.
“Missing People was also chosen because of the important work it undertakes with young runaways and missing people.
“A lot of us have already started to prepare for the walk and we have received fantastic support from friends and family who are sponsoring the event. If anyone would like to sponsor our deputies they can contact any Campanile Hotel in the UK.”
The Campanile Hotel brand is part of the Louvre Hotels Group, a French-based company which has a portfolio of six brands including Premiere Classe, Campanile, Kyriad, Tulip Inn, Golden Tulip and Royal Tulip Luxury Hotels.
