Crillon le Brave announces Provençal Truffle Hunting & Wine weekends for November 2015

Crillon le Brave
Following the continued success of their sell-out truffle hunting packages, luxury boutique hotel Crillon le Brave has released the dates for their 2015 truffle hunting weekends that include truffle hunting and preparation, wine-tasting, and a visit to the local antique market for the ultimate Provençal experience.

Located 25 miles northeast of Avignon, in the scenic area of south-eastern France, Crillon le Brave is the ideal luxury escape, a 36-room boutique hotel bursting with charm and boasting high quality service and food. Some of the best truffles of France can be found in Provence, nearby Crillon le Brave, an area which is known for its high quality produce and agricultural production. Crillon le Brave is now offering three English speaking wine and truffle hunting weekends for the early 2015 diary.

Eric Jaumard, Provence’s truffle expert, has teamed up with Crillon le Brave and will be leading the three extraordinary truffle hunting experiences on Friday morning with his trusted dog. Guests will go hunting for truffles with Eric followed by a rustic lunch. Following an exhilarating morning foraging for truffles with the expert truffier, guests will have an afternoon at their leisure to do as much or as little as they like before a delicious dinner at Crillon le Brave.

During the Saturday morning of the truffle hunting and wine weekend, guests will learn how to cook and prepare truffles during a cooking demonstration with Crillon le Brave’s Head Chef, Jérôme Blanchet. Jérôme will be teaching guests his secrets behind creating his signature truffle dishes such as: Duck foie gras pot au feu (beef broth) with black truffle potato gnocchi. Following Jérôme’s cooking demonstration guests will have the opportunity to spend the afternoon visiting Châteauneuf-du-Papes’s finest winery estates, where they will taste a selection of sumptuous local red and white wines.

To conclude a magical evening, guests will be treated to a delicious truffle infused dinner at Crillon le Brave.

Waking up on Sunday morning, guests arise to the outstanding views surrounding the hotel and can make the most of the local environment by making their own way to the famous antiques shops and Sunday morning farmer’s market and stands in the scenic l'Isle sur la Sorgue. Regarded as the antique capital of the region, the “Venice of Provence,” l'Isle sur la Sorgue is named after the clear water canals that run through the pretty town.
