Wimbledon inspired afternoon tea at Chinoiserie

Simon Young ‘serves an ace’ with his Wimbledon inspired afternoon tea at Chinoiserie

To celebrate Wimbledon, London’s leading summer sporting event, the luxurious Jumeirah Carlton Tower is serving up a sensational new afternoon tea at Chinoiserie.
Created by the hotel’s Executive Chef Simon Young, the menu offers delicious sweet and savoury choices with a contemporary twist on the traditional British summer afternoon tea. The menu includes delights such as cornish crab and cucumber brioche bun, warm chickpea cake with roasted red peppers, labneh and pomegranate and Parma ham with Taleggio cheese and fig relish in tomato bread.   .

In preparation for the tennis championship, the ‘Wimbledon Afternoon Tea’ also includes delights such as a pistachio and mascarpone tennis court and iced tennis racquet shortbread. In quintessentially British fashion, a Pimm’s and strawberry shot is also on the menu as is a delicious English strawberry and vanilla cream tart with passion fruit truffle.

Situated in Knightsbridge, Chinoiserie at Jumeirah Carlton Tower is the perfect setting for a spot of afternoon tea, with soothing music played by the resident harpist from 3 - 6pm daily. The Jasmine Room, an elegant private space within Chinoiserie, is an ideal place for a special day out, a family event or informal get-together with friends.
