Five-time award winners - Seven Steigenberger Hotels and Resorts and three InterCityHotels enter the "Hall of Fame"No fewer than 38 of the 92 properties of the Steigenberger Hotel Group have been awarded a Certificate of Excellence by TripAdvisor. Eight InterCityHotels and 30 Steigenberger Hotels and Resorts received the accolade of being recognised as a top-quality hotel by the community of the world's largest travel website. Ten hotels have entered the "Hall of Fame" by winning the award for the fifth year in succession.
The Certificate of Excellence is awarded on the basis of feedback provided by travellers on the TripAdvisor Portal. Responses received indicated that guests felt very much at home when staying at a Steigenberger hotel in Germany and also particularly enjoyed their experiences in the Netherlands, Switzerland, Austria, Egypt and at the legendary Steigenberger Wiltcher's in Brussels, which recently celebrated its Grand Opening.
New hotels such as the Steigenberger Hotel Am Kanzleramt received certification alongside traditional and established hotels such as the Steigenberger Grandhotel Handelshof in Leipzig and the Steigenberger Graf Zeppelin in Stuttgart.
The award recognises particular hospitality and is conferred on companies all over the world that constantly attract outstanding traveller reviews on the website.
The Certificate of Excellence has been in existence since 2011, and companies which have been recognised for five years in a row have been inducted into a so-called "Hall of Fame" as well as being awarded a special extra certificate.
"As a company with German roots, we enjoy a great deal of appreciation", said Puneet Chhatwal, CEO of Steigenberger Hotels AG. "Hotel services 'made in Germany' represent a top-class brand and are associated with high quality, precision and reliability. This is our capital, and this is what our guests value. We are proud to have been awarded the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence and would like to thank all our guests for the trust they have placed in us."
