Ramside Hall Hotel receives multi-million pound investment

A multi-million pound investment at a leading North East hotel will make it one of the region’s most self-contained conference and events venues when complete.  
Ramside Hall Hotel, on the outskirts of Durham, has recently unveiled a new wing of luxury bedrooms, which follows on from the creation of its second championship golf course last year.

And this summer it will unveil its state-of-the-art spa which, alongside its existing facilities, will make it the perfect venue for both business and pleasure.  

The hotel has 130 bedrooms and a range of meeting and conference rooms, which can take from 30 to 500 delegates plus a marquee that is erected throughout the summer months which can seat 200 and can be extended to accommodate 2000 people.  

Its position, with major rail and road links near-by, plus 500 free car parking spaces mean that it is easily accessible for guests travelling from across the UK.  

The new Spa at Ramside – which is part of a £16m development at the hotel – will  open this summer and boasts a full size 25m swimming pool, large hydrotherapy pool, six thermal experience rooms including a glass sided amphitheatre sauna, fully equipped life fitness gym and two exercise studios.  

It will also offer a weekly programme of over 40 varied classes including aerial yoga along with its own Spa Herb Garden complete with terrace and Vitality pool.  

The spa will include 14 treatment rooms, a light relaxation room complete with a balcony infinity pool, a beauty snug including nail studio, a dark relax room with soundwave therapy and sleep pods and a Mud rasul chamber which can be enjoyed by groups of up to four people.  

“The combination of all the facilities at Ramside Hall means that it is the perfect spot for anyone wanting to organise a conference or meeting,” said owner, John Adamson.  

“The fact that we have such first class facilities, along with a range of acclaimed restaurants, means that delegates need never leave the site.
