Cloud No 7 and Jaz in the City celebrate topping-out ceremony in Stuttgart

The Steigenberger Hotel Group presented its third brand in February. Jaz in the City is a new and creative hotel concept transporting a special kind of lifestyle that extends into the rooms themselves. Jaz in the City in Stuttgart will be housed in the new residential and hotel tower Cloud No 7. Today, both are celebrating their topping-out ceremony and thereby marking the completion of an important phase of development within a particularly innovative construction project.

Construction works at Cloud No 7 are proceeding extremely well. Steigenberger’s new Jaz in the City branded hotel will soon be welcoming its first guests to the tower’s lower floors and bringing a hip feeling to the Baden-Württemberg capital. The hotel was launched in February and is scheduled to open in the summer of 2016.

Jaz in the City in Cloud No 7 will join forces with the Steigenberger Graf Zeppelin and the InterCityHotel Stuttgart to enhance the significance of Stuttgart for the Steigenberger Hotel Group even more. This will be the first metropolis in the world where the company will have all three of its brands present.

“The overall Cloud No 7 project and our new brand Jaz in the City are an outstanding match,” said Puneet Chhatwal, CEO of Steigenberger Hotels AG. “Both are young, hip, innovative and genuine trend setters. We have found a strong partner in Mr. Fischer and Cloud No 7 GmbH. They are taking our new hotel concept on board in exactly the right way and skilfully showcasing what we have to offer. Cloud No 7 and Jaz in the City symbolically represent the spirit of Stuttgart.”

The “Cloud No. 7” residential and hotel tower is set to become a new landmark within Stuttgart's Europa Quarter. Like the other two Steigenberger hotels in the city, the Jaz Stuttgart occupies an excellent central location within the immediate vicinity of the main railway station.

“Cloud No 7 is a visionary and unique undertaking which reflects the high quality of life and economic power of Stuttgart and the whole of the surrounding region like nothing else,” stated investor Tobias Fischer, CEO of Schwäbische Wohnungs AG and Managing Director of Cloud No 7 GmbH. „The unique and innovative flair offered by Jaz in the City will enable it to be integrated into such a residential and hotel tower in an outstandingly effective way.”

The hotel will have 175 rooms and suites, conference areas, a SPA facility, a restaurant and a day bar. One particular highlight will be a rooftop terrace providing breathtaking views over the city.

The hotel was designed by Heiko Ostmann from the company tecArchitecture Swiss AG of Ermatingen. The hotel’s public areas and rooms were planned and designed by the Stuttgart-based company GEPLAN Design.
