Andaz Tokyo unveils the refreshed Rooftop Bar and the opening of ‘The Sushi’ on 52nd Floor

Foodies in Tokyo and from around the world will have a new hot spot to visit. Crowing the hotel on the 52nd floor, the refreshed Rooftop Bar and “the SUSHI” with the exclusive 8 seat sushi counter of Andaz Tokyo opened its doors on 1st April 2015.
Stepping into the refreshed Rooftop bar, the first thing guests will encounter is the dazzling view of the Tokyo skyline. It is the Tokyo’s highest open-air roof-protected bar terrace with relaxed sofa seating.

The interior of the Rooftop Bar is the re-envisioned image of a traditional Japanese architecture designed by Japanese designer, Shinichiro Ogata. The main area of the bar is separated into three different spaces, the high counter bar, intimate lounge and the open air terrace providing the right ambience for each guest’s personal choice. The drink menu features crafted cocktails infused with premium teas and fresh seasonal fruits, domestic draft beers, premium champagnes and fine sakes. The bar food menu is composed of simple and tasty snack items and late night comfort food, as well as the authentic Sushi from the adjacent Sushi counter.

Stepping further into the bar, guests are welcomed into an eight seat sushi counter, ‘the SUSHI’. The space resembles a dimly lit Japanese tea room. It offers the authentic Sushi using only the freshest of seasonal exclusive ingredients. Master Sushi Chefs skillfully prepare “Omakase-style”, the Japanese authentic Sushi style leaving the menu selection to the chef in this intimate setting. A selection of fine sake, wine and Champagne accompanies traditional sushi, or a unique pairing of a seasonal cocktail is on offer.
