PGA National attained dual ASTM standard certification in the venues and accommodations categories. These are two of the nine criteria developed by the industry to provide event planners and suppliers with specifications for producing events in a more eco-sustainable manner. Staff management, communications, waste management, energy, air quality, water, procurement, and community partners are all gauged.
“We are excited to be the first U.S. resort to be certified in both the ASTM venues and accommodations standards,” says Kathy McGuire, Manager of Sustainable Development for PGA National. “Certification to the industry’s global standard is further evidence of our ongoing commitment to hosting sustainable meetings and events.”
