After fulfilling Virtuoso’s stringent criteria, Puente Romano was included in its exclusive portfolio. A primary reason for such a positive response by Virtuoso, is due to the ambitious rebranding of the product, which started at the end of 2013 and is currently in its final stage.
This project has undergone several phases, a fundamental one being the transformation from “hotel” to “resort,” this also meant that its name was modified from Hotel Puente Romano to Puente Romano Beach Resort Marbella.
During this time, the suites have undergone a full refurbishment, incorporating new technological equipment and luxury comforts. There has been a huge change to the gastronomic offerings with the creation of “Plaza Village”, a unique culinary concept in Marbella. Here, a variety of cuisine is available, from Japanese, Italian to Spanish, and the two Michelin starred restaurant, Dani García. Most recently the resort has opened Tahi Gallery, a Thai restaurant. These culinary additions join Sea Grill, a Beach club and Del Mar, a spectacular new Beach Café.
The finale to this project will be the opening of the new Six Senses Spa in June.
“We are delighted to be selected as a member of Virtuoso, our quality has been reflected in the results after a lengthy auditing process. For us it has been a great challenge, the endorsement is a result of the constant work of all the team. It will provide us a new trading route in the luxury sector, together with the most exclusive brands in the industry”, states Jorge Manzur, General Manager of Puente Romano Beach Resort, Marbella.
