Situated on the tranquil island of Lanzarote, the Princesa Yaiza Suite Hotel Resort is ideally located for a spot of stargazing.
Boasting an advantaged location near the equator but far from tropical storms, Lanzarote offers sweeping views of the entire northern hemisphere and part of the southern hemisphere and suffers very little light or atmospheric pollution, making it one of the best places in Europe for stargazing.
To begin the charmed experience guests will be welcomed onto the hotel’s private roof terrace where two professional astronomers will be on hand, equipped with state-of-the-art telescopes, to show guests the key constellations including Orion, Ursa Major, also known as ‘The Plough’, Ursa Minor and Sirius, the brightest star in the night sky.
Once guest have tired of gazing at the heavens, they will be treated to a special, cosmos inspired menu in the hotel’s award-winning ’slow-food’ restaurant, Isla de Lobos. With delicacies including: rockfish and seafood with cosmic dust, black canary pork with creamy saffron and Venus rice, and chocolate volcano with caramelized banana on brownie crumb and sugar ash with aloe lava, guests will be spoilt for choice. Princesa Yaiza’s sommelier will be available to assist with the selection of fine wine from the hotel’s vast wine stores.
