Taste Portugal London announces extended 2015 programme with Eleven Michelin Stars at Conrad Algarve

Taste Portugal London, the Portuguese Tourist Board’s gourmet initiative, has brought Portugal’s epicurean delights to the UK for an incredible array of events over an amazing six month programme and is delighted to announce it will be extending its London programme with an exclusive celebratory event at one of the finest 5 star hotels in Portugal, Conrad Algarve on 28th and 29th March.

Seven of the world’s most highly acclaimed chefs will cook with Conrad Algarve’s very own 3 Michelin-Starred Heinz Beck for two exceptional dinners. The wine will be provided by Wines of Portugal who have provided wines for the whole Taste Portugal programme, and selected by Portugal’s Best Sommelier, Conrad Algarve’s Head Sommelier and Taste Portugal’s Official Sommelier – Antonio Lopes. 

28th March – Taste Portugal Kitchen Party
This is not the average Kitchen Party, in fact, this one is going to set the bar to a whole new level. Hosted by 3 Michelin-Starred Chef Heinz Beck, the Kitchen Party offer guests the exceptional opportunity to interact with a series of national and international Michelin Chefs in an informal setting where there will be live cooking with each chef explaining the true essence, concept and method of their delicious different creations.

Hosted by 3 Michelin-starred Chef Heinz Beck with:
·         Chef José Avillez (2 Michelin Stars)
·         Chef Vincent Farges (1 Michelin Star)
·         Chef Ricardo Costa (1 Michelin Star)
·         Chef João Rodrigues (1 Michelin Star)
·         Graham Hornigold (1 Michelin Star) & Henrique Sá Pessoa
·         Galvin Brothers (2 Michelin Stars)  

Menu includes Preserved Combu, Milk Fed Lamb Shoulder and Oyster Beignet with the full menu to be revealed on the night.  

The Taste Portugal Kitchen Party starts at 7pm with a cocktail reception, dinner following at 8pm. Tickets are 175€ per person including wine flight for an 11 Michelin starred dinner.

Degustation Dinner – 29th of March
Experience traditional Portuguese fare at its best in exquisite Portuguese surroundings. A superb degustation menu will be carefully prepared by top Michelin-Starred Chefs using only the finest and freshest seasonal local produce, guaranteeing a sensory experience to remember – taste, smell and touch will be absolutely tantalised by the gourmet combinations. Each dish will be superbly paired with premium Portuguese wines selected by António Lopes and his team of some of the best sommeliers in Portugal.

The Degustation Dinner will be hosted by 3 Michelin-starred Chef Heinz Beck with:
•          Galvin Brothers (2 Michelin Stars)
•          Chef Vincent Farges (1 Michelin Star)
•          Graham Hornigold (1 Michelin Star)  

Menu includes Tonno Tonnato and Ravioli of Langoustine with the full menu to be revealed on the night.  

The Degustation Dinner starts at 7pm with a cocktail reception, dinner following at 8pm. Tickets are 175€ per person including wine flight.
