Chic Collection launches online booking platform on 1 March 2015

Chic Collection is a new multi-functioning global marketing and sales platform for hotels.  It re-launched in 2014 as a definitive guide to the most stylish places to stay around the world and travel advisory site for discerning independent travellers.  The online portfolio has grown into a collection of more than 115 member hotels (and growing!) in 33 destinations which include Singita Safari Lodges, The Upper House Hong Kong, Edition Istanbul, Fregate Island Private in the Seychelles and Le Bristol Paris.

1 March 2015 will see a new “Chic” era as all member hotels become bookable online at The new booking engine will not only help member hotels connect directly with travellers but will also give consumers an enjoyable and stress-free booking experience. Fully customised for Chic Collection, it will be easy to search by destination or date and feature the very latest rates, availability, value added extras and exclusive offerings.  Chic Intelligence – the insider’s guide to each hotel and its destination – will also be updated by Chic Collection’s network of travel writers.   

The members are divided into seven clear categories that best describe the nature of the resort or hotel – as well as the experience it offers.  From EcoChic to AlpineChic, SpaChic, BarefootChic, Hide&Chic, SafariChic and UrbanChic there is something for everyone.    

Chic Collection first launched in 2003 as a series of destination-oriented, luxury coffee table books providing the best in hotel and travel inspiration.  Founded by Nigel Bolding, over the next 10 years more than 40 editions of chic travel books across 30 countries were published, as well as mini guides for Vogue and Condé Nast Traveller.  Chic Collection became an authority on luxury travel.  Now, in line with the development of the online world and armed with a wealth of knowledge, Chic Collection has re-launched as a fully digital offering, connecting hotels with travellers and travellers with hotels.   

The Chic Collection travel guides will still be available online and are a useful tool for travel agents selling the destination. Chic Collection also has its own GDS private label code ‘FF’ that is being used by hotel members including Singita Safari Lodges in South Africa, Tanzania and Zimbabwe. These properties will be bookable via Chic Collection’s private label code from 23 March 2015.  

Its sales and marketing services are tailored to individual needs.  Services include the organisation of sales visits to Chic hotels’ desired geographical destinations, participation at luxury trade shows under the Chic Collection brand and joint-advertising opportunities in leading lifestyle and travel titles, along with in-depth market intelligence.  Chic Collection also has worldwide support for its members with representative offices in the UK, Germany, Dubai, Singapore, USA and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
