Just months after winning BDRC’s Most Improved Brand in the MeetingsMarketMetrix survey 2014, Macdonald Burlington Hotel in Birmingham and Macdonald Manchester Hotel and Spa, part of the collection of over 40 hotels across the UK, have both retained Gold Standard Accreditations from VenueVerdict - the UK’s largest independent market research agency.
Macdonald Houstoun House, near Edinburgh and Macdonald Botley Park Hotel, Golf & Spa near Southampton were also accredited by VenueVerdict in the highly commended category whilst Macdonald Tickled Trout Hotel in Preston and the iconic five-star Macdonald Randolph Hotel in Oxford were both Commended for their results across 2014.
The accolades are based on rigorous research conducted by BDRC Continental, looking at feedback from conference and event hosts and delegates who used the hotels throughout 2014. Over 21,000 people were surveyed in the last quarter of 2014 across 375 participating meeting venues and hotels in the UK and Ireland.

The announcement of Macdonald Hotels & Resorts VenueVerdict accreditations follows a reported continuation of improvement in the group’s trading performance and financial position, with group turnover up 5 per cent to £145.5m for the year ended 27 March 2014.
