With the new year well underway, Six Senses Zighy Bay is delighted to announce the kick off of their popular visiting chef series for 2015. Sense on the Edge, the resort’s fine dining restaurant, launches the programme by hosting Michelin-starred Chef Richard Turner visiting from his eponymous restaurant, Turners, located in Birmingham, England on February 27 to 28.
The notable guest chef will feature his classic, clean creations with a focus on seasonal ingredients and flavours with French influences during two special culinary evenings. Self-taught, Turner famously secured his Michelin Star in 2009 and has wowed food lovers from around the world ever since. He believes that looking after his guests and using the freshest seasonal produce is the real reason for his success.
“We’re excited to stage an extraordinary culinary experience at Sense on the Edge by welcoming Chef Richard Turner for the second time. This initiative strengthens our commitment to crafted experiences and innovation, not just menus. Chef Turner will be supported at the two dinners by the resort’s newly appointed Chef de Cuisine Jonathan Rix. The Six Senses culinary team looks forward to welcoming guests in February and at future dining events throughout the remainder of 2015,” said Executive Chef Richard Lee.
Located 961 feet (293 metres) above sea level nestled into the mountainside, Sense on the Edge offers guests the choice of a five- or seven-course set menus designed to match each patron’s individual preferences and food requirements. Fresh, organic, local produce are the key ingredients on the unique, yet simple menu at the award-winning restaurant.
