Hogarths Hotel & Restaurant cooked 3,000 meals over the Christmas party season in 2013 but the number has already increased to 4,000 this year with just under three weeks to go to the big day.
The four-star hotel in Four Ashes Road, Dorridge, has also seen a rise in guests staying overnight while attending big shows at the nearby NEC which is only a 15-minute drive away.
Steven Quick, general manager at Hogarths Hotel & Restaurant, said it looked set to be a bumper Christmas at the venue.
“Our combination of party nights and festive meals with friends, family and colleagues is proving to be a hit because our Christmas bookings have risen significantly this year,” he said.
“We are experiencing new bookings as well as repeat business which I think shows that in the last couple of years, some businesses have had no choice but to tighten their belts and have not treated staff to a Christmas night out.
“We’re now seeing companies starting to celebrate Christmas once again and their successes over the last 12 months by saying ‘thank-you’ to the hard work and loyalty of their staff by rewarding them with a Christmas party.
“Local businesses particularly have booked their festive get-togethers here which underlines the high standard of our food and service.
“We still have some availability for our Winter Wonderland themed party nights as well as one special night in January which we have organised for those people who work over the festive season.” Steven said 2014 had also seen a rise in bookings from guests who were attending high-profile shows at the NEC.
“At Hogarths, we have noticed a growth in occupancy during events at the NEC particularly the Camping and Caravan Club, the Good Food Show, Gardeners World and Grand Designs.
“Our close proximity to the NEC means exhibitors and delegates can enjoy a restful night’s sleep here knowing they only have a short drive to return to their show the next day.
“In recent months, we have had the pleasure of welcoming presenters from The Gadget Show in China which is massive in Asia and Sienna Charles who won the National Show Jumping 128cm Championship title at the Horse of the Year Show.
“The hotel has been fully decorated including wrapping a giant velvet bow round the front of the building, installing giant toy soldiers to stand outside our entrance and buying big gift tags for people to write festive messages so we are fully ready for this popular time of the year.”
