Conrad London St. James launches new pub menu at the Blue Boar Bar

he Blue Boar Bar at Conrad London St. James has launched a new menu that is now available to hungry diners daily from 11.00am – 11.00pm. The talented team of British chefs (more than half the team is from the UK, something that is increasingly rare in a London kitchen) are ready to serve up carefully prepared, distinctive dishes with traditional, simple and wholesome flavours to satisfy the most ravenous of customers.

The new menu features classic dishes such as Welsh Rarebit, Steak & Chips and hearty Sausage & Mash among some more indulgent plates including the Club Lobster Sandwich and Morecombe Bay Potted Shrimps. The menu (with mains from £12) has been developed to offer patrons a down to earth yet well considered dining experience with the comforting and familiar values of a local drinking establishment and the great British pub.  

Starters (priced from £5.50) range from a Classic Caesar Salad to Chicken Liver Pate with Brioche Toast followed by mains including Fillet steak, Roast Cod, Cockles, Colcannon and Bacon and of course the Blue Boar Burger. On the menu you will also find British Classics including Beer Battered Fish & Chips, Braised Ox Cheek and Shepherd’s Pie. There is also a delectable range of warming and comforting indulgent deserts (starting from £6) to choose from including Bread & Butter Pudding, Knickerbocker Glory, Warm Chocolate Fudge Cake and by far the best Rosemary & Buttermilk Pudding in St. James.  

Using only the very best ingredients, Head Chef Rob Stephens and his team have taken the essence of British pub food and developed dishes with a nostalgic flavour served with a quality and distinction that you would only expect to find in a high class establishment such as the Blue Boar. A great selection of bar snacks are also available – the perfect accompaniment to a meal or as a quick bite for people on the run. Tuck into Scotch Eggs, Pork Pie and Quiches all served with homemade chutneys and piccalilli – the pièce de résistance being the Sausage Rolls made from a special Blue Boar signature sausage mix.  

To accompany the new menu and for thirsty punters, the Blue Boar Bar serves a selection of original cask ales and local craft beers along with fine wines and spirits ensuring there is something to suit the palate of everyone looking to enjoy a lunch time or after work/evening drink with friends and colleagues. Live music takes place every Friday (including Thursday’s throughout December) and helps to create a friendly and relaxed environment for all.
