Hotel now has largest capacity in Heathrow for residential conferencesThe Park Inn by Radisson London Heathrow today launches its stylish new Aviator conference facilities. The refurbishment includes 41 conference rooms and 26 syndicate rooms. With 895 bedrooms, the hotel now has the largest capacity in Heathrow for residential conferences.
In keeping with the airport location, the rooms are themed around famous aviators. Each syndicate and conference room is named after a pioneer of the air, with a description in each room of the historic achievements of each pilot. This dynamic theme is designed to inspire those using the facility.
The conference rooms have been transformed with new carpets, curtains, lighting, doors, electrical and Audio Visual equipment. Dramatic feature walls are used throughout. These are in Andy Warhol styled Pop Art, featuring famous aviators through the ages.
The stylish new look and feel of the rooms is created using new soft furnishings, elegant table lamps and glass coloured table tops, creating a contemporary environment for meetings, events and social gatherings.
Coloured LED ceiling lighting, which can be instantly personalised to client needs, in their brand colours for example, has been used to enhance in-room ambience and create the right atmosphere regardless of the time of day. Digitalised conference room signage can also be personalised. In addition, the hotel offers two fully serviced business receptions, ensuring that business needs are met from the point of arrival.
On a practical level and in support of the large number of devices today’s modern meeting delegate brings with them (typically laptop, IPad and phone), additional plug sockets have been added to all rooms. The Park Inn by Radisson’s brand-wide offer of Free WiFi for all guests and meeting delegates remains a key offering within the Meetings & Events area.
Nick Campbell, General Manager comments: “The new Aviator conference space is an exciting transformation for Park Inn London Heathrow. We now have the largest capacity in Heathrow for residential conferences, and look forward to welcoming guests to our stylish new meeting space.”
This project follows closely on the tail of a £10 million refurbishment project undertaken at the hotel. The large-scale refurbishment saw a complete overhaul of 650 guest bedrooms and bathrooms, as well as the hotel’s bar, lobby, lounge area and public areas. The remaining 245 bedrooms will be completed by early 2015.
In addition to the recently refurbished Aviator space, the Park Inn by Radisson London Heathrow is also proud to offer Smart Meetings, a global Smart Meeting & Events hospitality concept, offering consistent Connection, Choice and Community to modern business get togethers. Smart Meetings & Events are designed to deliver the right type of smart food, drinks, event spaces and technology to support varying guests’ life and work styles.
