Mövenpick Hotel Amsterdam City Centre partners in ijVENUES: Amsterdam’s first Music & Conference cityOn 4 November, Mövenpick Hotel Amsterdam City Centre will team up with entertainment and hospitality organisations Bimhuis, Passenger Terminal Amsterdam and Muziekgebouw aan ‘t IJ to create ijVENUES, a unique and multifunctional event location for Amsterdam city centre. ijVenues will be the first ‘Music & Conference city’ with its own hotel, bringing together four unique and complimentary organisations under one central reservation facility to offer a seamless, simplified booking process for MICE bookers.
The combination of locations offers a wide variety of spaces for different types of events; from private to commercial and from concerts to conferences. With a combined total of more than 20 meeting rooms, 4000 m² in surface area, a range of F&B outlets and catering options, and a hotel with 408 bedrooms, ijVENUES offers guests a uniquely diverse and convenient experience – all overlooking the IJ and just a stone's throw from Amsterdam Central Station.
‘There has been a healthy ongoing collaboration between the four parties for some time but we increasingly recognised that a solid collaboration in the form of a ‘one-stop-shop,’ would be even more beneficial. Our current clientele will benefit from the speed and convenience of one central communication point, while we and our ijVENUES partners also benefit from the creation of an effective and efficient booking method,’ says Albert Rouwendal, Director of the Mövenpick Hotel.
Mövenpick Hotel Amsterdam City Centre offers its guests a unique location right on the banks of the IJ. The hotel has 408 rooms and is within walking distance from the historic city centre and the many cultural highlights. With its 12 flexible state-of-the-art meeting rooms and free internet, the modern four star hotel provides a perfect balance between business and pleasure.
