The Alpina Gstaad announces new season of Six Senses Spa Programmes

The award winning Six Senses Spa at The Alpina Gstaad reopens on 2 December for the winter season with a host of treatments aimed to rejuvenate the mind, body and spirit. Running from early December to the end of March the programmes range from one to six-day retreats that include detoxes, meditation and revolutionary anti-aging techniques.

Five Elements Retreat with Antonis Sarris (5 December 2014 – 22 March 2015)
Award-winning holistic therapist Antonis Sarris aims to reconnect guests with their surroundings during this four-day retreat. Using ancient techniques such as gentle movement, breathing exercises, guided meditation and treatments focusing on the five-element theory, this programme allows guests to delve deeper into their inner self. A four-day retreat starts from CHF 3,935 (approx. £2,546) based on single occupancy in a Deluxe Room.

Mountain Detox Delight (5 December 2014 – 22 March 2015)
Designed to increase energy and vitality, the Mountain Detox programme is the perfect starting point for improving health and wellbeing. Using detox cuisine, therapies and activities in the serene setting of the Swiss Alps, the programme will recalibrate the body and mind. Highlights of the six-day package include body composition analysis, salt inhalations in the Spa’s Himalayan salt grotto, colonic cleansing, massage, Tai Chi, and Chakra balancing. A six-day retreat starts from CHF 4,095 (approx. £2,659) per person sharing a double room.

Alpine Wellness  (5 December 2014 – 22 March 2015)
Throughout the winter season the spa will offer an Alpine Wellness programme – three retreats focused on improving guests from the inside out. These include Nutritional Consulting with Angela Ferri; Sense of Fitness, Movement & Balance;  and Sense of Beauty. The programmes range from three to seven nights. Three nights on one of the retreats starts from CHF 2,125 (approx. £1,380) per person sharing a double room.

QMS Anti-Aging Rejuvenation Retreat (3 days / 2 nights 18 – 19 March 2015)

Wednesday 18, March, 4 to 6 pm
Dr. med. Erich Schulte, founder of QMS Medicosmetics, is known for his revolutionary techniques and pioneering advances in skincare. Now guests at the the Six Senses Spa can enjoy a personal introduction to one of the most results-driven skincare brands in the world.

Thursday 19, March, 10:30 am to 12 pm
On the second day of this retreat, Dr. Schulte will share the best ways to look after your skin in two talks ‘Start Young, Stay Young’ and ‘Turn Back the Age Clock’ for men and women. From CHF 1,470 (approx. £954) based on single occupancy in a Deluxe Room


Experience the Energy of ila (3 – 4 March 2015)
Exclusive to The Alpina Gstaad, this event offers guests the chance to discover the range of totally natural face and body products by the beauty brand, ila. Meaning ‘Earth’ in Sanskrit, every ila ingredient is chosen for its positive energy, purity, vitality, and therapeutic properties. As well the chance to talk to ila experts, when guests buy products up to CHF 150 they receive a free 30-minute get-to-know treatment. The price for an overnight stay and the event starts from CHF 850 (approx. £551) for a Deluxe Room.
