The third key acquisition this year forms part of Dominvs Hospitality’s planned strategic expansion of hotels in prominent UK cities.
The site is nestled between the Malmaison hotel, Oxford University and the grade 1 listed Oxford Castle, the 10th century tourist hot spot driver that draws millions of tourists on a yearly basis.
Dominvs Hospitality, considered one of United Kingdom fastest growing hospitality management and development companies, will aim to develop the site into a 4 star 120 + bedroom hotel comprising food & beverage facilities (both in house and 3rd party), health and wellness amenities and meeting facilities.
The Oxford site is located 400 yards from the Oxford Railway station, a station that services 6.3m passengers per year, predominantly that of the commuters travelling to and from London in less than 1 hour.
Once developed the property will be operated by Dominvs Hospitality, which currently has 3 operational hotels in the UK regions with a further 5 development projects in the pipeline (in excess of 1100 bedrooms) to be brought to the market within 3 years. The first sites are those of the Holiday Inn Express and Crowne Plaza Aberdeen Airport opening in May and September of 2015 respectively.
“The Oxford market has been firmly in our sights since our company’s inception” says Preet Ahluwalia, Director of Dominvs Hospitality. “This hotel development represents another important milestone for Dominvs Hospitality and underlines our commitment to the growth of our brand”.
The Oxford site is due to be launched to the public in early 2017, marking it the 9th purchase for Dominvs Hospitality since their inception in 2013.
