Beaumont Estate partners with Kaboura Events for CSR focused teambuilding activities

Building a Dream
Beaumont Estate in Windsor, part of the PH Hotels Collection has partnered with Kaboura Events to bring new CSR (corporate social responsibility) teambuilding activities to the hotel. The focus of traditional teambuilding remains as delegates participate in team bonding exercises, but in addition to this the activities undertaken will benefit the global community.

The ‘One World, One Team’ teambuilding sees groups work together planning their strategy to earn fun money, the more challenges that are successfully completed from identifying renowned landmarks to building vehicles from junk the more fun money is earned. Teams then go on a shopping spree in a specially created pop up shop using the earned fun money to obtain child friendly gifts. All purchased items are gift wrapped by the group and packed into individual team boxes which will be delivered, with a personal note, to children in the UK and developing countries.

‘Building a Dream’ is an ‘Apprentice’ style activity that brings teams together to create and build a range of real bikes for donation to a children’s project in the community. It’s down to the groups to ensure they meet goals which will enable their product (one bike per team) to be dispatch ready by the end of the day. All completed bikes will undergo safety checks before being donated to a community organisation supporting local children.

Peter Ingels, General Manager, Beaumont Estate said: “We are proud to have these new packages available for corporate events hosted at the hotel. Teambuilding incorporated with CSR provides all the challenges, fun and bonding experience whilst also giving to a worthwhile cause. It’s a fantastic event experience that enhances the lives of children both in the UK and abroad through the efforts of the participants.”

A series of other teambuilding packages are now available including ‘iPad Filming’ which sees groups write their very own script and later take on the roles of directors and actors to create an Oscar worthy film short. Wii and Xbox Kinect games played on a giant screen are the perfect addition to evening events. Games are competitive ranging from sporty to musical with team effort needed to be on top of the leader board.

Indoor teambuilding packages include the ‘Generation Game’ a fast moving competitive quiz where the aim is to earn as many points as possible. ‘Big Piano’ is a high energy activity featuring a walk on piano as seen on ‘The Jonathan Ross Show’ and played by girl group the Saturdays. Teams learn how to play a song allocating the piano keys between themselves. Software instructs groups of which notes should be played keeping a visible leader score board.

Teambuilding packages designed for the outdoors include ‘Back to School’ an action packed event based on the school sports day with traditional games such as the egg and spoon and sack race. A head teacher compere adds authenticity to the school theme. Inspired by the popular television series the ‘A Crystal Maze’ package brings teams together as they tackle both physical and mental timed challenges to obtain crystals. The more crystals the more time teams have in the inflatable dome to collect gold tickets. The team with the most gold tickets wins the coveted Crystal Maze trophy.  ‘Chequered Flag’ challenges teams to think creatively as they are tasked with designing and building a vehicle to race and achieve the fastest time on a race course.

Beaumont Estate’s new partnership with Kaboura Events means that organisers can select off the shelf solutions to fit budgets and groups with a minimum of 20 delegates. Instant pricing, through a bespoke matrix, allows for each activity to be priced for the numbers required instantaneously by the team. Bespoke company values and objectives can be incorporated into all teambuilding packages. All packages include full event management, staff, all equipment and resources and insurance.
