The former County Hotel has been officially rebranded to BEST WESTERN PLUS Epping Forest, following a £1.4 million refurbishment.
The newly modernised hotel was renovated during a six month long overhaul of the property’s bedrooms, reception area, conference suites and restaurant.
Located in Woodford, the hotel in north east London is now one of just four BEST WESTERN PLUS hotels in London and the surrounding counties.

BEST WESTERN PLUS hotels pride themselves on providing extra services as well as well-appointed, stylish rooms, to create an enhanced level of comfort for guests.

Managed by Redefine|BDL Hotels, the transformed property now boasts 99 modern guestrooms, free Wi-Fi throughout the building and an impressive new conferencing facility.

The Statesman Suite caters for events for up to 250 people and is set to host a variety of weddings, parties and meetings over the coming months.

The hotel’s transformation includes a fully revamped menu to compliment the full-service restaurant now in operation.

The chic Forest Restaurant & Bar now offers a varied selection of meals and snacks, with an emphasis on fresh ingredients and exciting taste combinations.

From traditional roast chicken and lamb dishes to new favourites including pumpkin ravioli and salted caramel brownie, the menu is set to draw in new customers from across south east England. Sara Chegwidden, General Manager of BEST WESTERN PLUS Epping Forest said: “We’re extremely proud to unveil a brand new look and feel for the hotel.

“Over the last six months the interior has been completely renovated to include a state-of-the-art events space and welcoming reception area. The hotel’s bedrooms and restaurant have also undergone a complete overhaul, creating a bright and stylish hotel that we believe will cater to our customers’ needs.

“We’re delighted to officially join the BEST WESTERN PLUS group and over the coming months we’ll look to deliver a high standard of service which meets and exceeds the brand’s well-known standards. “Our new restaurant will now serve a mix of old and new favourites to hotel guests, local residents and visitors seven days a week. We’re particularly excited for customers to try our afternoon tea or pop along for Sunday lunch.

“I look forward to welcoming lots of familiar faces and new visitors along to the hotel to see the transformation for themselves.”
