Special Guest Chef from Conrad Seoul’s Zest restaurantConrad Macao is pleased to welcome Chef de Partie Mr. Kyonghoon Chong (Daniel) from Conrad Seoul who will be special guest chef at Grand Orbit restaurant from 19 September until 29 September, 2014. A Korean national, Chef Chong has more than eight years of culinary experience in Korea, China, Indonesia and the United States, where he worked for many five-star luxury hotel restaurants including the past two years at Conrad Seoul. He has also participated in cooking for many gala dinners held in foreign embassies, as well as his current role at Conrad Seoul’s Zest restaurant where he oversees the Korean cuisine section.
A highlight of his career was winning a Bronze Award at the 2012 International Food Fair from World Association of Chefs Societies (WACS). In addition he also won 1st Award at Local Food Cooking Contest from Gu-Ri City‘.
During the Korean buffet food promotion at Grand Orbit, Chef Chong will be preparing authentic Korean soups and hot and cold dishes such as Bulgogi (Grilled Korean BBQ), Kalbi JJim (Braised Beef Short ribs), Modum Jeon (Assorted Korean Pancakes) and of course no Korean menu would be complete without traditional Kimchi. The dishes along with a selection of Korean desserts will be available at live cooking stations throughout Grand Orbit restaurant.
The menu will be part of the extensive international and Asian buffet selection already available for guests who dine in Grand Orbit. The buffet lunch is MOP 228*(adult) and buffet dinner is MOP 358*(adult). Guests can enjoy the Korean selection for no additional cost as well as a complimentary Korean drink.
Located on the ground level of Sands® Cotai Central, Grand Orbit is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, seven days a week. The Korean promotion menu will be available for lunch and dinner only.
