As the only hotel in the world to have three Joël Robuchon restaurants, the Executive Head Chef has brought a culmination of exciting flavours to Hôtel Métropole through his three ventures: Restaurant Joël Robuchon, Yoshi an, the most recent addition, the alfresco poolside restaurant Odyssey. Up until the 1st September, the hotel will celebrate the 10th anniversary with the creation of a ten-course tasting menu that will showcase Joël Robuchon’s most iconic dishes over the last decade.
The €230 menu will consist of Robuchon’s signature ingredients which include king crab with Mediterranean vegetables, foie gras with pan-fried cherries, and royal sea-bream with carpaccio and espelette chilli. Hôtel Métropole will also celebrate ten years of taste and their new Pastry Chef, Loïc Colliau, with the creation of a three-metre high anniversary cake displayed in the lobby. Composed of a blend of fruits and flowers, it will ignite guests with its vibrant colours.
In December, Hôtel Métropole will honour the tenth anniversary year by hosting a Gala Dinner for guests of the hotel and friends of Métropole to celebrate the gastronomic pleasures that the hotel has offered over the past ten years.
The Time Capsule
The successes of the past years have been due to ten key names that have evolved the hotel into the multi-award destination it is today; prominent examples being Karl Lagerfeld, Joël Robuchon and Jacques Garcia. The celebrations will culminate with a time capsule being sealed in the hotel’s gardens to immortalise objects that signify the pleasures that Hôtel Métropole has brought to its visitors.
Over the last ten years, Hôtel Métropole has grown to become a Leading Hotel of The World that is recognised for its excellence in the world of international luxury hospitality. On the occasion of the 10th anniversary, the hotel wants to look back over the last ten years to highlight the staff who have contributed to the success of Hôtel Métropole. Names and photographs of these dedicated 10 will be displayed in the artists’ entrance of the hotel to emphasise the hotel’s appreciation for the loyalty and affection they have dedicated to make Hôtel Métropole what it is today.
This year, Hôtel Métropole launches #MetropoleSelfie, a social media campaign for guests and staff of the hotel emphasising what brings them pleasure within the hotel. All selfies published will be collected and the best will be published on all Hôtel Métropole social media channels on the 10th of each month.
