Online booking website Booking.com, which has joined VisitBritain’s Great China Welcome (GCW) Charter Campaign, has released research revealing that the hotel is the top accommodation hotspot for Chinese visitors in the UK.
Andrea Whigham, General Manager, said: “It’s fantastic to come top of the list for UK hotels in the UK by Chinese visitors; particularly in the wake of the recent inaugural flight from Birmingham to Beijing.
“We are of course only a short stroll from Snow Hill and New Street Train Stations, which have direct train links to Birmingham International Airport, making the hotel an ideal choice for Chinese visitors. Congratulations are due to all our staff, who make sure that all our guests, from China or anywhere else, receive the same high standard of customer service.”
Located in the heart of Birmingham city centre, Holiday Inn Express Birmingham Snow Hill is also on the doorstep of Colmore Business district, making it ideal for business visitors and tourists alike. The hotel offers 224 spacious and contemporary air conditioned bedrooms, each with free Wi-Fi. All guests receive free Express Start Breakfast in its stylish Great Room, a great place to meet friends and colleagues for an evening drink and a snack.
Visitors to the UK from China have doubled in the last five years, according to VisitBritain, and it is hoped that these numbers will treble in the next six years. The GCW Charter Campaign aims to inspire UK hospitality businesses to offer assistance to Chinese tourists and help them identify hotels and other attractions that provide information in Chinese and adapt their product towards this rising market.
