The Chedi Andermatt launches The Glacier Express Experience

The Chedi Andermatt has launched a new package in partnership with The Glacier Express and the Mont Cervin Palace Hotel in Zermatt.  Mountain lovers can now experience Alpine summer in first-class style on one of the world’s most famous railways, and staying at two of the best hotels in Switzerland along the way.

With a glass roof ensuring panoramic views, guests can make the three-hour scenic train journey through the Alps, from Andermatt to Zermatt.  This beautiful rail journey gives guests time to absorb the dramatic landscapes, picturesque villages and, if lucky, spot some Swiss wildlife. The region is home to marmots, ibex, red deer and golden eagles.

The package starts with one night at new The Chedi Andermatt (opened December 2013) where guests can check out the acclaimed Jean Michel Gathy design and ultra luxurious surroundings. Following an unforgettable mountain train journey, the package ends with an overnight stay at Mont Cervin Palace Hotel.  Dating back to 1852, the hotel is the oldest in Zermatt and is well known for its style, fine food and breath-taking setting at the foot of the Matterhorn.
