Manchester Hotel receives its Scottish calling for restaurant launch

One of Manchester’s iconic hotels enlisted a Scottish bag piper to announce the re-launch of their Scottish Steak Club, which opens on 26th June.
The piper played from the top of the roof of Macdonald Manchester Hotel & Spa to celebrate the re-launch, bringing true Scottish flavour to the city.

The re-opening means that Macdonald Manchester Hotel & Spa will benefit from a completely renovated first floor Scottish Steak Club restaurant with views across the city. The open-plan kitchen also means that guests can view the chefs in action while relaxing in the contemporary interior.

Paul Bayliss MBE, General Manager at Macdonald Manchester Hotel & Spa, said: “People coming into and out of Manchester will have had ‘their calling’ from our piper to visit Manchester's number one hotel restaurant, determined by TripAdvisor.”

"We are immensely proud of our reputation for serving guests only the finest quality food and for having one of Manchester’s very best restaurants in our hotel. Put simply there is zero compromise on food quality or fantastic service. Having the restaurant refurbished will only add to the experience for our guests.”

The Scottish Steak Club will continue to offer the very best of British, as well as some of the world’s most delicious steak cuts alongside only the freshest seafood. Fine Scottish and Argentinian steaks will finish their aging process for up to 35 days in the restaurant.

The hotel is one of the largest four-star hotels in Manchester and combines 338 beautiful bedrooms with state of the art conferencing, an indulgent urban spa and first class bar, conferencing and banqueting.
