Jumeirah Port Soller Hotel & Spa introduces ‘Taste of Mallorca’ calendar

Jumeirah Port Soller Hotel & Spa exterior on rugged coastline
Jumeirah Port Soller Hotel & Spa, located on the rugged northwest coast of Mallorca, is offering guests the chance to sample the fragrant produce that grows naturally on the surrounding Tramuntana Mountains. Each month, the ‘Taste of Mallorca’ calendar will use a different seasonal fruit or herb, to inspire a gastro-therapeutic experience and combine a relaxing treatment at the award-winning Talise Spa with a delicious tasting menu.

With an abundance of herbs and fruits available across the Mediterranean, Jumeirah Port Soller has plenty to choose from. With Lemons in May, Oranges in June, Rosemary in July, Thyme in August, Grapes in September and Olives in October, guests can immerse themselves in the flavours and scents of the region throughout the summer.

Guests will begin their ‘Taste of Mallorca’ experience with a restorative body treatment at the luxurious cliff-top retreat, where natural oils and extracts from the month’s ingredient will be used to soothe the skin and body. Following the hour long treatment, guests can retire to Cap Roig, one of the region’s must-visit restaurants.

Tempting tasting menus will be exclusively created for the occasion, with all courses inspired by local Mediterranean, Asian and Latin-American flavours. The month’s special ingredient will be complemented by an expertly selected wine list. Perched on a cliff overlooking the Port of Sóller, the resort provides the perfect location for a locally inspired menu. With extensive sea views on one side, and a backdrop of the Tramuntana Mountains – recently declared a UNESCO Heritage Site – on the other, guests can while away an evening as they soak up the local sights, aromas and tastes.
