Hilton Birmingham Metropole celebrates five years of major developments

Over the past five years Hilton Birmingham Metropole has undergone a major £18M facelift, including a newly created room type - Single Deluxe Guestroom - which was unveiled on the 8 May 2014 in an event attended by the Lord Mayor of Birmingham.

From renewed public areas and leisure facilities, to superior hotel entrances from the NEC and Monarch Suite, a number of facilities have gone through a remarkable transformation over recent years. Some of Hilton Birmingham Metropole's 33 meeting rooms have been turned into modern spaces that include all the latest commodities and audio visual technology. The latest development was made to 170 of its 790 bedrooms, creating a completely new and refreshed product called Single Deluxe Guestrooms providing a modern and yet comfortable experience to business and leisure travellers alike.  

Patrick Stapleton, the hotel’s General Manager said, “Over the past five years we have carried out some remarkable improvements to our facilities. The £18M transformation we have undergone and the commitment to invest even further will certainly ensure our product takes the lead as a specialist conferences and events venue in the U.K.”  

The Lord Mayor of Birmingham, Councillor Mike Leddy, when attending the opening event said, “These types of achievements deserve to be celebrated. The Hilton Birmingham Metropole attracts very important conference business to Birmingham and the Midlands with over 1,800 conferences and events every year and this is a very notable feat. It is therefore a true pleasure to be here today.”
