Discover art over the bank holidays with NEW Hotel, Athens

NEW Hotel Athens
NEW Hotel in Athens, a member of Yes! Hotels, continues to promote and support Greek culture and the arts by offering exclusive discounted entrance to The Museum of Cycladic Art for guests visiting over the May bank holidays.
NEW Hotels’ latest cultural offering promise to introduce guests the history of Athens - the perfect destination for art lovers, culture-adics and tourists alike. The ancient exhibition at The Museum of Cycladic Art contrasts perfectly with the groundbreaking design of NEW Hotel, showcasing the mesh of the old and new design elements in the City of Athens.

3 – 5 May 2014: The Museum of Cycladic Art has a permanent collection that holds more than 3,000 objects of Cycladic, Ancient Greek and Cyrpiot art, which is on display over their four floors.

24 – 26 May 2014: From May 23, The Museum of Cycladic Art will be presenting Stefanos Tsivopoulos’ History Zero film for the first time in Greece. Over this bank holiday, NEW Hotel invites guests to be one of the first to see this exhibition with an exclusive 10% off entrance fee. This work represented Greece in the 55th Venice Biennale in 2013.

The film depicts the experiences of three people, with very different conceptions of the value of money. The film’s narrative explores the effect that monetary exchange can have in human relations and political and social implication.

In line with Yes! Hotels ‘Young, Energetic and Seductive’ approach, the 79-room hotel interiors were designed by the Campanas in partnership with architecture graduates from the University of Thessaly.

Furniture up-cycled from everyday materials, as well as handmade fixtures symbolizing Greek mythology and folklore create the sensation of living and breathing in a major art installation.

Rates over his period at NEW Hotel start from €200.00 per night in a Standard room including tax and buffet breakfast.
