Celebrate with the biggest party in the Soller ValleyJumeirah Port Soller Hotel & Spa - located on the rugged northwest coast of Mallorca - will be welcoming guests to enjoy Es Firo in May; a historical celebration of the victory of the local Sollerics over the Turkish pirate invaders in 1561. As the biggest calendar event in the region, there will be plenty on offer to entertain adults and children alike as they enjoy three nights for the price of two at the luxury hotel. .
Guests visiting the hotel for Es Firo will be able to make the most of the May sunshine as they relax by the pool, enjoy the picture postcard views at leisure, or enjoy complimentary access to indulge at Talise Spa. And all whilst children under 12 enjoy 2 hours’ complimentary use of Barbaroja’s Kids Club each day of their stay.
On Monday 12th May the celebrations of Es Firo festival day will begin; commemorated in Mallorca since 1850. With a delicious picnic lunch for two and shuttle to Port Soller provided, guests will be taken in the afternoon to witness the exciting and colourful re-enactment of the battle, complete with traditional costumes, shotguns, swords, and catapults. In the evening (in Sóller’s main square) a final showdown will take place with battles, songs, and an enchanting fireworks display. Two return vintage-tram tickets are also provided to make the short but scenic journey to ￼ and from Soller.
