Located a stone’s throw from Agios Nikolaos and situated on a hillside, Daios Cove’s 2,500 square metre spa is a zen-like sanctuary with soothing aromas and soft, relaxing music. The superb facilities include a fully equipped Technogym, 8 treatment rooms, 2 facial studios, 3 body treatment rooms, 2 double suites, a Thai massage studio and a beauty salon. All of the private studios at Daios Cove have in-room iPod docking stations allowing guests to play their own music or select individual playlists to perfectly suit their mood.
If the sun gets a little too much, retreat to the spa’s indoor infinity pool or experience the hydro massage and counter current pool. Relax in the spa’s Finnish or soft sauna and refresh in the ‘Mediteraneo Experience’ shower where sauna and experience different types of water pressures and temperatures (rain-storm-hydro-massage) to invigorate and benefit the skin, blood pressure and inner organs including the heart and lungs.
Let the body unwind with a heavenly anti-stress face and body experience (€215) found in the Anne Sémonin Signature Collection. A synergy of heat and cold is the essence of this truly exceptional experience combing a relaxing back therapy and anti-ageing facial. The creamy, rich mixture of self-heating clay and algae melts away deep-seated tension throughout the back of the body while the feet and legs are massaged. The senses are further stimulated with an advanced cryotherapy facial, using the Anne Semonin Express Radiance ice cubes infused with powerful ingredients to support the skin at a cellular level. Alternatively, those wanting to return home feeling completely refreshed and stimulated should experience the Vital Detox (from €116) from the Exquisite Massage Collection. The synergy of lemongrass and peppermint is applied to the body using specialized lymphatic techniques to effectively release toxins and stimulate circulation.
Oenotherapy (or healing with wine) has been the secret of wine producing regions for thousands of years. No anti-oxidant is stronger than the polyphenols contained in the seeds, skin and leaves of the humble red grape! Containing 20 times more anti-oxidants than Vitamin C and 50 times more than Vitamin E, these polyphenol-compounds in the red grape prevent the rapid decay of cells, energising and detoxifying the skin.
The Anne Sémonin Oenotherapy Collection treatment menu at Daios Cove spa includes Le Vintage (48 EUROS), an energising grape seed body polish leaving skin delightfully soft, smooth and nourished to perfection and La Selection du Sommelier (euros112), an invigorating body scrub followed by a nourishing and anti-ageing body mask while guests experience a soothing scalp massage. The natural anti-oxidant benefits of this treatment will enhance body drainage, maximise hydration, plump and smooth to perfection, while nurturing the body in a cloud of well-being.
After guests’ spa experience, a simple Anne Semonin regime is carefully prescribed, in which the therapist will recommend how to customize products to create perfect blends for optimum efficiency. This can then be carried out at home on a daily basis.
Daios Cove offers guests a Deluxe Sea View Room with 42sqm with individual pool from €175 (£144) per person on B&B basis.
