Hilton London Heathrow Airport Terminal 4 guest rooms undergo refurbishment

First phase of room refurbishment to be completed July 2014

Guest rooms at Hilton London Heathrow Airport T4 are being “upgraded” with a complete refurbishment that takes inspiration from a first class aeroplane cabin.
The first phase of the refurbishment, which is due to be completed by July 2014, will see 161 rooms undergo a complete transformation with king-size beds, walk-in showers, mini bars and sleek, modern furnishings drawn from a neutral colour palette designed to induce serenity and relaxation.

The new rooms blend comfort with practicality to offer guests the ultimate pre or post-flight experience that reflects the effortlessness of first class travel.

Warm neutral and muted tones create a tranquil atmosphere for work or relaxation, while taupe furniture will be complemented by splashes of citrus and sage green upholstery to create a contemporary, chic finish. The bathrooms have been elegantly redesigned with a minimalist colour palette of black and white with silver furnishings. Additional comfort and practicality will also be provided by mist proof mirrors in the bathroom and sound proof windows.

Jurgen Sutherland, area general manager, Hilton London Heathrow Airport Terminal 4, said, “Travelling – whether for business or leisure – should be as enjoyable an experience as possible and with our new-look rooms, we’re aiming to give our guests the best possible start to their journey. Being located where we are, it was natural for us to look to first class air travel for inspiration to deliver a calming atmosphere designed to promote a good night’s sleep and ultimately take the stress out of travelling.”

Hilton London Heathrow Airport Terminal 4, located six minutes from the terminal, is the only airport hotel that offers direct access to and from terminal 4 via a covered walkway. The airport Hopperbus also collects guests from directly outside the hotel to transfer customers to and from Terminal 5. The hotel offers leisure and business travellers a relaxing stop-over in one of its 398-guestrooms. Hotel facilities include an in-door pool, a man-made beach terrace, sauna, steam room, a complimentary 24 hour fitness centre and 30 meeting rooms.
