The four-star Macdonald Alveston Manor Hotel, an iconic Stratford-upon-Avon destination rich in historic local connections and just 30 minutes from Birmingham Airport has undergone a significant refurbishment of its conference facilities and meeting rooms.

Unveiled earlier this month, the investment saw two executive boardrooms, including the 150 capacity Cedar Room benefit transformed with a striking interior design married with high spec equipment to offer an attractive facility that will appeal to meeting planners and business travelers alike.

The premium meeting spaces now feature walnut boardroom tables and leather chairs for up to 20 delegates while further enhanced features include an interactive media wall with flat screen. The addition of a new refreshment area for the meeting rooms and upgrades to eight other meeting rooms ensures Macdonald Alveston Manor Hotel is amply equipped for both small meetings and larger conferences.

Sam Aziz, General Manager at Macdonald Alveston Manor Hotel, commented: “The unveiling of the refurbished rooms has already been very well received by both meeting organisers and delegates.

“We pride ourselves on continually keeping the delegate needs at the forefront of everything we do and this investment further guarantees our business customers have the best experience possible, whether attending board meetings, group seminars or conferences.”

In addition, a number of the hotel’s public rooms including the bar and lounge have undergone refurbishment adding opulence and style to the renowned country house hotel.

Designer, Gerry Thompson at Thr3 Design in Glasgow offered an insight to the inspiration behind the new look, “Around the central fireplace in the lounge area were beautiful blue and white ceramics, so we used these to guide the colour palette across the wider project.

“Heritage colours, including rich navy blues feature throughout, complemented by gold accents that add fantastic light and elegance to the rooms. Classic damask fabrics by Zoffany and bespoke carpets by Ulster Carpets add further luxurious touches, along with sophisticated lighting by Porta Romana.

“We were keen to ensure all new additions were in keeping with the style of the building and its traditional Tudor house charm whilst adding the latest mod cons and comforts for corporate business meetings”, added Thompson.

The completion of this major investment project comes just a few months after the Macdonald Alveston Manor Hotel was awarded Business of the Year 2013 at the Pride of Stratford Awards 2014. Last year also saw Macdonald Hotels & Resorts celebrate being awarded 2013-2014 AA Hotel Group of the Year.
