London's largest town house suite set to debut at The Kensington Hotel

The Kensington Hotel, London’s largest town house suite
The Doyle Collection, the privately owned, Dublin headquartered, luxury hotel group, is to introduce a stylish new accommodation option for guests at The Kensington Hotel, launching London’s largest town house suite with flexible living and sleeping space enhanced with designer chic.

An exciting addition to the hotel’s portfolio of rooms, the iconic Kensington Suite offers guests impressive and spacious apartment style accommodation.  It comprises three bedrooms and three bathrooms, plus two distinct living areas, and comes complete with extras including dressing room, a sumptuous circular day bed with flatscreen LCD TV, private balcony with city views, Bose/iPad/iPhone docking stations, complimentary WiFi, private decanter bar and Nespresso coffee machines and much more.

A generous 180 sq metres of space, The Kensington Suite has been uniquely created as a series of versatile interconnecting living spaces that can be reserved as either a one, two or three bedroom configuration, and has been designed to appeal to those travellers seeking spacious residential-style accommodation with on-tap premium hotel facilities, according to The Doyle Collection’s CEO, Pat King.

“Discerning guests are now looking for more lifestyle accommodation, they wish to have their own space where they can relax in comfort, secure in the knowledge that every service is immediately available” he said. “With the flexibility presented by The Kensington Suite, we can offer a stylish residence in the heart of London ideal for VIPs, executives, long stay guests, special occasions and even family celebrations.”

Among the distinctive features of the Suite are four metre high ceilings and a series of tall, floor to ceiling French windows leading to the balcony. Pale parquet floors and painted panelled walls evoke the atmosphere of a classic 19th century Parisian apartment. Furnishings comprise an eclectic mix of the classic and the contemporary with antique and found pieces ranging from a lacquered cocktail cabinet to a 1930’s Murano chandelier, plus the latest bathroom accessories including heated floors, walk-in showers and whirlpool baths.

“The completion of The Kensington Suite signifies the first of many investments and exciting developments for the Group, not only in the U.K. market, but also in our properties overseas,” added Pat King. “The Group’s commitment to enhancing the travel experience for all our guests is highlighted through this unique project, which positions The Doyle Collection at the forefront of boutique luxury.”

With uninterrupted views out over leafy South Kensington and just footsteps away from fashionable Knightsbridge, The Kensington Suite offers the very best in individual style and personal service.  It is the first major enhancement to The Kensington Hotel since it reopened in 2009 following a complete refurbishment and perfectly complements the relaxing ambience and laid back interiors of the ground floor area. Accompanied by the generosity of spirit for which The Doyle Collection is renowned, London’s largest Town House Suite will impress the most seasoned travellers.

The Kensington Suite features designs by Denis Looby of Sheehan and Barry Architects.
