Sheraton Macao Hotel celebrates Year of the Horse with its two millionth guest

The world’s largest Sheraton and Macau’s biggest hotel – Sheraton Macao Hotel, Cotai Central – today welcomes its two millionth guest, less than half a year since the one millionth guest arrived in August 2013. Grand opened on September 20, 2012, Sheraton Macao Hotel has helped to further transform Macau into an all-round travel destination for a variety of visitors including families, leisure travelers as well as business conferences and special events. Bringing guests the ultimate in comfort, sophistication and convenience, along with Sheraton’s signature services and an emphasis on personalisation, Sheraton Macao Hotel offers a new way of enjoying Macau.

“It’s just 6 months since we celebrated our one millionth guest’s arrival last August, so we are thrilled to welcome our two millionth guest so soon. We opened our second tower this time last year, and since then we have not only been pleased with our rapid occupancy growth, but also the number of families choosing Sheraton Macao Hotel as their preferred holiday destination. With the variety of cultural, shopping, dining and entertainment experiences now available in Macau and the Cotai Strip Resorts Macao, we are fortunate to be part of one of Asia’s most exciting destinations.“

“This wonderful achievement is also testament to the hard work of our dedicated Sheraton Macao Hotel team who have proved their passion and determination to deliver on the expectations of our guests from around the world. Guests from China make up our largest market segment, so it’s fitting that today’s 2 millionth guest and family come from China, “said Mr. Josef Dolp, Managing Director of Sheraton Macao Hotel.

“My family is excited to be a part of this historic moment for the Sheraton Macao Hotel, especially during Chinese New Year. This is the first time for us to celebrate Chinese New Year in Macau and we look forward to enjoying all the festive events that are happening here,” said Mr. Zhang, the honorary two millionth guest from China. “We chose to stay at the Sheraton Macao Hotel because it not only offers great services and amenities specialized for families, there is also access to the wide range of entertainment at the Cotai Strip Resorts Macao. We have read a lot about the DreamWorks Experience, and now that we are here, my family would love to get to see the DreamWorks Gang at the All Star Parade,” he added.

The lucky two millionth guest was welcomed by Mr Josef Dolp, Managing Director of Sheraton Macao Hotel, and greeted by two glittering orange sequined traditional Chinese lions followed by an eye-dotting ceremony and a lion dance performance. In addition to the warm welcome on their arrival at the hotel, the family also received complimentary stretch-limousine transfers, a free upgrade to the Presidential Suite, 90-minute Signature Massage for two at Shine Spa for Sheraton, special dinner at Xin, character-themed breakfast for the family at the “Shrekfast with the DreamWorks Gang!” as well as special gift from Sheraton Macao Hotel.
