Live at Aloft Hotels - Spotlight Series kicks off

Aloft London Excel collaborates with young British Singer-Songwriter Josh Osho on a series of music events this Autumn

Aloft Hotels, the fast-growing brand from Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Worldwide, Inc. kicked off Live at Aloft Hotels – Spotlight Series this month. This is part of the brand’s growing global music programming and will start in Abu Dhabi before moving on to Aloft Hotels in Brussels, London and Bursa.  

Aloft Hotels has teamed up with selected musicians to develop an exciting series of engaging and inspiring activities that will take place over the course of a month at each hotel. Live at Aloft Hotels – Spotlight Series will give music enthusiasts and hotel guests the opportunity to interact with these talents through happenings such as interactive workshop sessions, on-location artwork creation and stripped-down live performances.

As part of the series, British singer Josh Osho is set to ‘take over’ Aloft London Excel from 24th October to 21st November. During the four-week takeover, Josh will host a number of exclusive events at the hotel, including a launch party, a hip-hop Shakespeare master class and a music mastermind quiz. The take over will then culminate in a one-off Josh Osho gig at the hotel on 21st November for guests and fans.

Josh Osho is an up-and-coming English singer-songwriter. He released his debut album ‘L.i.f.e’ in 2012 and his tracks ‘Imperfections’ and ‘Redemption Days’ were selected for the BBC Radio 1 and Radio 1Xtra playlists. Over the past two years, Josh has supported Emeli Sande, Rizzle Kicks, Jessie J and Ne-Yo.

Throughout the Spotlight Series takeover, guests will also be given the chance to pit their singing skills against Josh’s in a soulful SingStar challenge in the hotel’s re:mix lounge and enjoy a specially-created cocktail in the w xyz bar, designed by Josh and inspired by one of his music idols.

Josh Osho’s takeover of Aloft London illustrates the hotel’s ongoing dedication to supporting emerging music and providing fresh talent with a platform to connect with new audiences.
