Andy Murray’s Cromlix and Chez Roux joins Small Luxury Hotels of the World™

Small Luxury Hotels of the World™ (SLH) has revealed that Andy Murray’s new hotel venture, Cromlix and Chez Roux in Perthshire, is to become part of its unbeatable portfolio. The Victorian mansion, which the Wimbledon champion acquired in February 2013, is currently being transformed into a five-star Scottish hotel, scheduled to open in April 2014.

Cromlix and Chez Roux is an ideal fit for Small Luxury Hotels of the World™, which includes some of the world’s finest small independent hotels among its unrivalled collection. The 15 room luxury hotel, its restaurant serving classical French cuisine prepared by a Scottish chef with local ingredients, and its healthy offering of countryside pursuits, will offer a quintessential Highlands retreat in keeping with SLH’s ethos of offering truly authentic experiences.

The luxury property is located close to the tennis star’s home town of Dunblane and aims to create new jobs and enhance nearby businesses in Murray’s local community. Cromlix’ Chez Roux restaurant, overseen by the renowned Chef Albert Roux (OBE,KFO), will be a hit for diners from the surrounding area, as well as the hotel’s guests.

The 34 acre Cromlix estate, and its neighbouring countryside, offers plenty of rural pursuits for guests to enjoy the great outdoors during their stay, including clay pigeon shooting, archery, fishing in its very own loch, as well as quad biking and 4x4 off road driving for speed seekers. Those guests with an urge to follow Murray’s triumphs can head to the brand new tennis court and practice wall to run through their ball skills.
