JW Marriott Phuket Resort & Spa banquet beach

JW Marriott offers more for less

How would you like to hold an event in a 5-star JW Marriott? And what if it was on a beautiful beach? And what if it was only about £90 a night?
Ah, now you are interested!
Over a very tasty - hot -Thai lunch in Bangkok, Kewalin Sukumjittanon, Senior Marketing Communications Manager at JW Marriott Phuket Resort & Spa, told me of the move to make more MICE organisers aware of the remarkable value for money they can get from the property.
With 265 rooms, it is one of the largest on the resort island and was built from scratch to Marriott's requirements.

Although Phuket is globally famous as a holiday destination, the J W Marriott enjoys as much as 35% MICE business. Not only for incentive groups, but conferences with leisure programmes and team building. This was always the aim from the outset, as the property has a conference area close to the lobby offering 10 function rooms, the largest able to hold up to 400 delegates.

‘For registration we can use our foyer, which is one of our highlights as it is air-conditioned and quite large.
'We also host many small executive gatherings', Kewalin points out. 'Our Kamala Boardroom has a private terrace that is popular.
’

'The UK is the third largest source of traffic after Russia and the US. The Russian visitors tend to come in January, when it's so cold in their country. March is popular for the UK and this is probably one of the best months to be in Phuket. That is the time when the weather is reliably excellent and delegates can enjoy being immediately on the Mai Khao beach. They can work at meetings and then relax within minutes on one of the best beaches in the region.'

Prices on Phuket island are very favourable compared with big city locations, but, even with such attractive prices, a JW Marriott is always a top-of-the-range property.
