De Vere Hotels & Resorts leads innovative team away days

Attending the annual team away day does not need to be a dreaded event with forced fun and interrogating getting to know one another sessions.
De Vere Hotels & Resorts has developed a wide selection of innovative and inspirational ideas across the group for team building events; enabling colleagues to bond whilst also enjoying the activity and location. Set in hundreds of acres of rolling countryside, by the seafront in Brighton or on the banks of Loch Lomond, the location of each of the nine unique hotels offer time out of the office environment with Space To Think.


Oulton Hall
With extensive grounds across Yorkshire, Oulton Hall offers a gastronomic foraging experience with provenance as they key focus.

The hotel’s knowledgably executive chef Norman McKenzie guides each guest through the grounds and teaches them about wild food and the art of foraging. The experience includes learning about what foods to avoid and cooking with fresh ingredients throughout the seasons.

Following the session, the group can enjoy a private dinner at the chef’s table whilst he creates delicious recipes using the foraged food. Other ingredients are sourced locally supporting the vast selection of quality food from Yorkshire. The cost for the foraging sessions starts from £27.00 per person. Private dinner at the chef’s table start from £30.00 per person.

Carden Park
Se in 1,000 acres of countryside near Chester the hotel offers its very own unique  ‘KONG Ropes Course’. Made up of a network of low and high ropes mingled with bridges, steps, swings and all wound around and suspended within woodland at Carden Park. Exhilarating and testing, they'll love it. Featured as a team event, conference activity or simply a participative event, KONG Ropes takes your team to a new place.

Mottram Hall
Set in the beautiful countryside of Cheshire, just 30 minutes from Manchester and the international airport Mottram Hall Hotel offers teams the chance to participate in The Chocolate Experience. The session includes a demonstration by master chocolatier Oliver, who teaches the group how to create a selection of tasty handmade chocolate creations. The cost of The Chocolate Experience starts from £15 - £25 per person, for a minimum of eight participants.

Slaley Hall
Get off the beaten track in 1,000 plus acres of Northumberland with Slaley Hall’s outdoor pursuits including their own onsite off-roading track for 4x4 vehicles, which can each take four guests on a truly wild off-road experience. Prices start from £60 per car for the first driver and additional drivers are £15.00 per person.

For something a little more hands on why not try Floodlit Paintballing which can be organised for up to 80 participants within the woods of the hotel grounds. Prices available on application.
