Meeting, conference, then relax with a spaQ treatment at QT Sydney

spaQ QT Sydney
QT Sydney, the city’s newly opened cutting-edge hotel, has introduced an added bonus for any businesses holding meetings and conferences at it's facilities. It's now possible to organise for the hotel spa, SpaQ, to stay open late so that companies can have exclusive use of the facilities - offering staff and attendees massages, facials and the use of the hammam.

Situated in the central CBD, spaQ redefines the contemporary urban spa. Catering to a sophisticated, design-conscious clientele and busy corporate types, facilities include six treatment rooms, a Hamman-style steam and ice room, relaxation lounge, boutique, full amenity male and female change rooms and a gentleman’s barber specialising in cutthroat shaves.

Uniquely, spaQ guests are not required to pre-select treatments, instead choosing only a block of time. In consultation with their therapist, treatments are tailored on the day to suit individual needs. Using products by Uspa (Melbourne, Australia), Kerstin Florian (USA) and George Trumper (UK), the extensive menu of therapeutic, anti-ageing and beautifying services may be supplemented with 30- minute “accessory” treatments.

The rich, moody interior is as sensory as the treatments themselves. Although modern, the design incorporates heritage details restored from the historic Gowings department store that once occupied the site. Attention to detail is apparent in the idiosyncratic décor, staff uniforms, extensive menu and service philosophy.

“Treatment experiences should be especially crafted for each guest, ensuring the very best outcome for optimum wellbeing, rejuvenation and vitality,” said Naomi Gregory, Head of Development and Operations for spaQ who has assembled a team of leading therapists. “Playing up the designer concept and introducing a consultative and personalised approach to the spa experience ensures we are delivering this in a fresh and unique way.”
