Hampton by Hilton touches down at Warsaw Airport

Hilton Worldwide celebrates 29th Airport Hotel opening in Europe

Hilton Worldwide has announced the latest addition to its European portfolio, with the opening of Hampton by Hilton Warsaw Airport.  In 1963 Conrad Hilton opened his first airport hotel, pioneering the concept and matching accommodation to the growth in air travel.  This latest opening brings one of Hilton Worldwide’s most successful brands to Warsaw Chopin Airport.

The 116 guestroom Hampton by Hilton Warsaw Airport offers hot breakfast included in the room rate, fitness suite, fully equipped business centre, as well as 24-hour snack shop and free Wi-Fi throughout.  The 47 square metre meeting room, with natural daylight, can seat up to 18 people in boardroom style.  The hotel also participates in the award winning Hilton HHonors loyalty scheme, offering the chance to earn global rewards at over 4,000 hotels worldwide.

Simon Vincent, president, EMEA, Hilton Worldwide, said, “50 years since Conrad Hilton pioneered the concept of the first airport hotel, we are delighted to be opening Hampton by Hilton Warsaw Airport, with a brand that goes from strength to strength.  Following major international events like the UEFA European Championship in 2012, Poland is putting itself on the map and seeing a sharp rise in the number of visiting tourists, a trend we are set to capitalize on.”

Within Hilton Worldwide’s portfolio of 252 hotels in Europe, many of the company’s brands are proudly flying their flags at significant airport locations and providing renowned Hilton hospitality.  Recent openings include Hampton by Hilton Amsterdam Schipol Airport (June 2013) and Hampton by Hilton Exeter Airport (April 2013) which join properties such as Hilton and Hilton Garden Inn Frankfurt Airport and Hilton London Heathrow Airport Terminal 5.

Phil Cordell, global head, focused service and Hampton brand management, Hilton Worldwide, said, “We are proud to open our 20th Hampton by Hilton hotel in Europe today, and introduce more guests to “Hamptonality” – our unique culture of hospitality – which includes the 100% Hampton Guarantee and  a combination of quality, innovation, comfort and plenty of value-added extras.”

Guests can enjoy the Warsaw Galeria Mokotów, the capital’s biggest shopping and entertainment areas, under three kilometres away; as well as the restored historic centre of Warsaw, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.  Business travellers can also benefit from the hotel’s situation in the developing area of the city which is home to many international corporate offices.

Adriana Biernatowicz-Jadczak, general manager, Hampton by Hilton Warsaw Airport, said, “My team and I look forward to welcoming guests to the hotel and providing the brand’s quality accommodation and amenities. Whether travelling to experience the cultural delights of Warsaw or to take advantage of the fantastic business facilities, guests can expect our proactive and friendly service.”
