Healthy start to Spring at the SECC

Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre front
The Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC) has embraced its commitment to healthy living with the introduction of three new shows at the venue this Spring.
From the 11th to the 13th March 2016 the venue plays home to the first ever Scottish Cycling, Running & Outdoor Pursuits Show. This new show for Glasgow is organised by PSP Media Group Ltd, the experts behind the Scottish Golf Show and Girls’ Day Out.

Continuing on the healthy theme, from the 19th to the 20th March 2016 The Allergy & Free From Show, sponsored by Genius Gluten Free, makes its debut at the SECC, bringing the very best in ‘free from’ living.

And from the 2nd to the 3rd April 2016 The OM Yoga Show makes its first appearance in Scotland.  The exhibition has established itself as the biggest event of its kind in Europe and is described as the ultimate yogic weekend; whether it’s as a beginner, or someone who has been practicing for years.

Dan Thurlow, Director of Exhibition Sales at the SECC said: “We are delighted to be welcoming three brand new shows to the SECC this Spring.  A healthy ethos is something that is very important to the SECC.  The venue recently became the first venue in the world to be accredited under the World Obesity Federation’s Healthy Venue Awards programme, achieving silver status.  We also achieved the highest level of  a gold award following recent annual assessment in Health at Work from the NHS so it’s a subject dear to our heart.

“These new exhibitions are a further illustration of this and we are looking forward to working with the organisers to bring these fantastic new shows to the Scottish public.”
