Royal Caribbean International’s Legend of the Seas emerged from a month-long $50 million drydock in Singapore and will show off an array of new features for its remaining Asia season before returning to Europe. The Vision-class Legend of the Seas is the most recent ship in the fleet to receive Oasis-class amenities, extensive upgrades and a bow-to-stern makeover.

Royal Caribbean International marks first milestone of Project Sunshine construction

Royal Caribbean International took a major step this week in the development of the cruise line’s next generation of cruise ships when the first piece of steel was cut for the first of two Project Sunshine ships. The steel cutting took place at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany, where the two ships will be built.

Renowned Michelin star chef Jason Atherton to cook unique meal at sea for Silversea guests

Jason Atherton, the award-winning Michelin star chef who owns restaurants in London, Hong Kong, Singapore and Shanghai, is to cook for guests on Silversea cruise ship Silver Shadow later this year.
Jason will cook a unique 4-course meal for guests onboard Silver Shadow voyage 3334, leaving Hong Kong for Singapore, on 25th November 2013. While the menu remains in development, Jason is known around the world for signature dishes including Scallop Sashimi “trip to Japan 2012” and “PBJ” jelly, jam and peanut.
