Celebrity Cruises adds new activities and special offers for Celebrity Equinox’s summer Caribbean sailings

Summer camps for children, rum and reggae parties for adults, and even brunch and bubbles events are set to make waves for travel agents selling Celebrity Cruises’ new summer Caribbean holidays.
The exciting additions are all new programming for Celebrity Cruises’ return to offering summer Caribbean sailings in 2017 – for the first time in five years.

Celebrity Equinox will offer a series of seven, eight, 10 and 11 night cruises to the Eastern, Western and Southern Caribbean. Plus, the new season also includes a special 11-night Signature Sailing featuring an overnight stay in New Orleans for the city’s famous Jazz Festival.

Plus, Celebrity Cruises is also supporting agents in selling the new summer Caribbean cruises with a great booking offer. Holidaymakers booking 2017 summer Caribbean cruises on-board Celebrity Equinox can enjoy free drinks and up to $500 on-board spend for cruises booked before the end of August 2016. The offer also includes free non-alcoholic drinks for the third and fourth guests staying in the same stateroom – great for families.

Sarah Harraghy, commercial sales director, Celebrity Cruises, UK and Ireland, explains:   “Our trade partners have asked for Caribbean summer cruises for some time, and we’re excited to respond to the high demand. The great new itineraries in the most popular region of the world for cruising, supported by a strong booking incentive and a host of extra activities on-board, are all designed to support agents in selling. We know that our affluent guests love the Caribbean, and look forward to working with our agent partners to make the Caribbean summer of 2017 a great success.”

The summer Caribbean cruises will be packed with new on-board programmes to showcase a flavour of the destinations. The complimentary Taste of the Caribbean culinary extra events include food and mixology demos from on-board chefs and mixologists, wine tasting, rum and reggae parties on the outdoor Lawn Club deck, and brunch and bubbles options.

Additional exclusive events available for a fee include a five-course tasting menu with Celebrity Cruises’ chefs, and fresh pasta and mozzarella making classes. Plus, guests enjoying the best of summer in the Caribbean can also indulge in Chef’s Market Discoveries shore excursions to uncover the foodie heart of ports of call. Chef’s Market Discoveries are led by an on-board chef and introduce guests to farmers and food producers, markets and local food and drink specialities. The gourmet experience culminates with an exclusive dinner prepared using ingredients sourced from the day’s food haul.

Celebrity Cruises president and CEO, Lisa Lutoff-Perlo will also host an eight-night President’s Cruise in the Eastern Caribbean in late August 2017 packed with additional special events and excursions.

Cruises available in Celebrity Cruises’ first summer Caribbean season for five years include:
• An eight-night cruise celebrating America’s Memorial Day departing on 26 May 2017
• A series of seven-night sailings alternating between the Western and Eastern Caribbean – perfect for combining back to back – between June and August 2017
