Celebrity Cruises renews its agent commitment with new pledge

2016 is gearing up to be the year of the agent for cruise line Celebrity Cruises as the business revamps and re-launches its approach to working with trade partners.
Celebrity Cruises is making a strong promise to agents with a new Celebrity Commitment, a programme that clearly defines what agents can expect from the cruise line and what they will enjoy in rewards.


The Celebrity Commitment has three core areas:
• Exceptional Holidays: strong marketing campaigns and on-board experiences to push holidaymakers to book Celebrity Cruises experiences with their travel agent 
• Exceptional Rewards: attractive commercial terms and incentives, including the loyalty programme Celebrity Rewards 
• Exceptional Support: the best tools and resources, including training, for agents to help them sell Celebrity Cruises 

Sarah Harraghy, commercial sales director, Celebrity Cruises UK and Ireland explains: “Historically the Celebrity Cruises business operated with the mantra of ‘easy to do business with’. As we continue to hone what differentiates Celebrity Cruises, we also wanted to ensure that we refreshed our approach to our trade partnerships. The roll-out of our Celebrity Commitment is just the beginning of a raft of investments and activities that will really highlight how agents are at the heart of our business. We’re excited about what 2016 holds.”

Celebrity Cruises’ new focused approach to agents will be evident in the upcoming turn-of-year campaign, with additional tools and support for agents. Plus, there are enhancements coming to the Celebrity Rewards agent loyalty programme in line with the promises that the agent pledge makes, as well as a programme of exciting events coming up.

The Celebrity Commitment has been running in the US with American agents for the last few years, and learnings have been applied before its roll-out in the UK and Ireland to ensure that Celebrity Cruises continues to be the cruise line of choice for travel agents.
